Freak Fandango arose in 2017 out of the remnants of old bands and new friendships and have been cultivating their niche brand of Moonee Ponds flavoured dance-punk ever since. Whether forcing people to listen to them at their house parties or playing licenced venues where punters attend of their own volition, the band has two goals in mind: having a rollicking good time on stage and making sure everyone else does too. They worship at the altar of dance and have taken holy vows to devote their lives to the shaking of hips and tapping of toes. Most at home in a live setting, the band has been rearing their heads at venues around Melbourne with increasing frequency and punctuality and show no signs of slowing down, except for briefs periods in the studio so their shape-pulling fans and fans to be can get down in the comfort of their own headphones.
