Melbourne songwriter Nat Vazer makes intimate guitar pop that sways between rebellious sass and whimsical diaristic storytelling.
In 2018, her debut single ‘Keep Away From Parks!’ (2018) was named a 2018 Triple J radio presenter favourite on Unearthed, and she was made feature artist by The Australian Independent Record
Labels Association on the release of her third single, ‘Struggletown’ – a song inspired by the nightmare of working in a toxic workplace and feeling trapped in an accidental 9-5 career.
Following the launch of her debut EP (‘We Used To Have Real Conversations’), Nat has gone on to support Lime Cordiale on tour, #1Dads, Carla Geneve, The Magic Numbers (UK), Ryan Downey and more. Her fast-growing reputation as a captivating performer and powerful songwriter continues to land her places on festival line ups including St Kilda Festival (DZ Deathrays, The Preatures), Kyneton Music Festival (Sonny & The Sunsets, Pony Face), Changes Festival, Not Fest and more.
Inspired by the bowl-cuts her dad used to give her as a kid, Nat’s new single ‘Like Demi’ (2019) draws on her love for the 90s romantic thriller film ‘Ghost’ but is ultimately a song about learning to be unapologetically yourself and finding your confidence in vulnerability. Produced by Robert Muinos (Julia Jacklin, Saskwatch), ‘Like Demi’ is a snapshot of more new and exciting music to come for Nat Vazer in 2020.
