The Market has unveiled a memorial plaque on the footpath of Cecil Street in memory of legendary guitarist Ross Hannaford. Known for being one of Australia’s finest guitarists and a member of the iconic Aussie band Daddy Cool, Ross was a regular busker here at the Market who often performed for shoppers and diners on the busy Cecil Street strip.
In loving memory of Ross, this popular busking location has been nicknamed Hanna Corner. Budding Melbourne musicians are invited to apply to play at Hanna Corner at the Night Market on Thursday’s throughout January and February 2018.
Musicians who would like to apply to busk at the Night Market should do so by Friday 29 December.
